Where To Next¶
Congratulations on completing Algan’s new-user tutorials! You should now have everything you need to start making videos of your own.
Two catalogues are the fastest way to find out what else is available:
The Mob Gallery – every Mob Algan ships with, with pictures.
Built-in Animations – the ready-made animations for drawing attention, moving along a path and transforming a whole diagram.
If you want to learn about more Algan functionality then head on over to the Advanced User Tutorials. These tutorials are less structured and can be followed in any order. In particular, check out the following useful tutorials:
Saving Videos and Images – how to change the quality settings of your videos
Positioning and Layout – all of the helpers for positioning mobs on screen
Text and Mathematics – labels, LaTeX, per-glyph animation and animated numbers
Images and Textures – importing images, and painting images across surfaces
Shaders and Materials – how to make convincing, realistic mobs
Audio and Speech – adding sound and narration to your videos
Multi-Scene Projects – splitting a longer video into scenes you can re-render one at a time
Performance and Quality – what makes a render slow, and what to do about it
Two more pages worth knowing about:
Manim Migration Guide – if you also write Manim, or want to import its geometry.
Renderer Limitations – what Algan’s renderer does not do, which is the first place to look when a render does not come out the way you expected.
For the details of any individual class or method, use the reference manual and the documentation search.
